Material Safety Data Sheets
Consistent with and pursuant to division 2 (main duties of employers) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, EnviroPoles is committed to a working environment that is safe and without risks to health as far as is reasonably possible. More specifically, section 21 of the aforementioned Act provides that all employers must:
“Provide such information, instruction, training or supervision to employees [including subcontractors] of the employer as is necessary to enable those persons to perform their work in the way that is safe and without risk to health”
Accordingly, EnviroPoles ensures that all chemicals used by EnviroPoles have clear, concise and up to date Material Safety Data Sheets (referred to hereafter as MSDS)
MSDS are documents which provide information about substances contained within chemicals and their associated hazards. MSDS must provide the following information:
MSDS must be printed in plain English language and must meet Australian national Standards. MSDS will state the following:
